That would be so good that God would love you more

You could never deserve the amazing love

The Father has in store

And He’ll never love you less

Despite the evil you will do

To rain His love on you

The mercy of the Father

Is wider than the endless sea

And deeper than the ocean is His love

That reaches down to set us free

And the skies are filled with His grace

Higher than the eye can see

On this dry and thirsty ground of my heart

His love rains down

As the rain from the highest heavens

Finds its way to the deepest well

So the mercy of the living God

Delivered me from a living hell

And though I tried to earn His love

It wasn’t long before I knew

He already paid the price with His life
